Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming medical training and practice, creating opportunities to promote disability-inclusive healthcare systems. As the medical field increasingly emphasizes inclusivity, AI’s potential to address the diverse needs of individuals with disabilities becomes pivotal. This paper explores how AI technologies can be integrated into medical education to better prepare healthcare professionals for working with patients who have disabilities. AI-driven tools such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and machine learning algorithms provide immersive and interactive learning environments, enabling medical trainees to understand the unique challenges faced by people with disabilities. These tools can simulate various disabilities, offering trainees the opportunity to experience and empathize with the barriers that disabled individuals encounter in daily life and medical settings. Furthermore, AI can facilitate personalized learning experiences, helping educators tailor training programs to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with disabilities. This fosters a more inclusive training environment where both medical professionals and patients benefit from a heightened understanding of accessibility and care.
